Last day of June, and it's raining. Beautiful at 4.50am; lowering sky full of latent rain; very fresh post-rain air; so clear and a breeze. Good word, 'lowering'. Used here to mean what it sounds like it means. Look it up later.
Been through a minor operation, mostly written a (commissioned) book, finally got round to calling Amazon customer service and they're replacing my frozen Kindle. I've been back to reading print books over the past few weeks, but 'the Kindle experience' is one I miss (nearly wrote <I have become dependent on> and prepositions ha!). Interesting times; a record of minor experiences while the change gathers pace - or rather, the <new> begins. Painful? Maybe, but for the highest good.
